Yucca plants make a wonderful addition to your tropical indoor garden. The plant has flexibility and is easy to care for. Although the yucca prefers high light they thrive nicely in low light which we have months of during the winter season.
I placed my yucca in front of my palm plants. The leaves are slightly darker than the palm which adds an interesting contrast to the color scheme. However, the yucca is gorgeous no matter where you choose to set it. I often move mine to a corner of my desk to give me a soothing feeling of being outdoors. It is one of my favorite plants to lift my spirits on blue day.
Even though Yucca’s will survive in low light they will perform best when receiving sunlight from an east, west or south facing window. Allow the plant to nearly become dried out but not completely before watering then give the plant a through watering. The yucca like many other houseplants has the ability to clean the air within your home. Mist the plant as often as needed to keep it shining brightly.
